Faye and Hannah
Splice is an exploration of connection and architecture between two bodies as they configure themselves between restriction and possibility, solving a physical puzzle, with a new score composed by world-renowned electronic musician Floating Points.
Faye is a dancer, choreographer and rehearsal director from London who specialises in contemporary dance and Voguing. She studied at London Studio Centre and went on to join Rambert 2 where she completed her MA. Faye’s performing credits include Rambert, Ohad Naharin, Benoit Swan Pouffer, Itzik Galili, Richard Chappell Dance, Agudo Dance Company, Julia Cheung, Dickson Mbi, Keneish Dance as well as working commercially with credits including Years and Years, BBC, Ellesse, Selfridges, M&S, and Toyota. As a choreographer Faye’s credits include INTOTO Dance Company, Monmouthshire Youth Dance Company, with commercial credits including Saul Nash, Woolmark, Marc Jacobs, British Vogue and Zara Larsson. Alongside Faye’s career she participates in the Ballroom Scene where she specialises in New Way Voguing and is part of The Iconic House of Revlon. She has won multiple prizes internationally and regularly organises Balls in London.
Originally from Gothenburg, Sweden, Hannah Ekholm trained at the Royal Swedish Ballet School before moving to London in 2011. As a dancer Hannah has worked in both theatre and commercial spaces, working with artists and companies such as Raye, Lacoste, CR Fashion Book, Daniel Avery, Calvin Harris, Gareth Pugh, Huawei, Alexander Whitley Dance Company, Rambert and many more And in the most recent years she began choreographing for La Roux, Tinie Tempah, Joy Crookes as well as premiering her new work ‘Stimuli’ at Resolution Dance Festival in London. Hannah is also a New Way Voguer part of the international vogue house ‘ELLE’, and has walked/ competed internationally and won multiple times. She has judged balls / events, as well as hosting her own ball in London.
